Although it continues to be a very majority (65%), opposition to the pension reform has fallen for more than a week (-6 points). A large part of the French continue to consider the project carried out by the Elisabeth Borne government “unfair” (70%) and “ineffective in guaranteeing the sustainability of the pension system” (58%). And if one in two French believes that the executive has made concessions, a third (35%) considers them insufficient.
Despite this challenge, the majority of French people still think that the pension reform will be voted on (68%), a slightly lower number in a week (-3 points).
Survey carried out online from February 7 to 8, 2023, after the day of the mobilization, with a sample of 1,000 people representative of residents of mainland France over 18 years of age. The representativeness of the sample was ensured according to the quota method applied to the following variables: sex, age and profession of the interviewee, prior stratification by region and agglomeration category.
