Around 12 noon, the Frankfurt airport indicates that almost all landings are suspended.

A computer glitch led to the cancellation of many flights operated by Lufthansa on Wednesday, the German airline said, without being able to indicate the extent of the glitch.

Around 12 noon, the Frankfurt airport indicates that almost all landings are suspended.

“Currently, the companies of the Lufthansa group are affected by a computer failure. This is causing flight delays and cancellations. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to our passengers, ”said the European air transport leader on his Twitter account.

“We do not yet have any indication of the nature and number of these disruptions,” a spokesman told AFP, adding that he did not know if Lufthansa was the only airline affected.

Investigations are underway to determine the cause and extent of the outage, the spokesperson added.
