Strike on February 16: 1.3 million protesters in France, according to the CGT

The CGT announces that 1.3 million people demonstrated this Thursday against the pension reform this Thursday. Figures lower than the last mobilizations of the week.

For this fifth day of strike and demonstration against the pension reform project, the mobilization in the street was weaker than the previous days of action. The CGT thus announces that 1.3 million protesters marched throughout France on Thursday.

During the last day of demonstrations, Saturday February 11, the unions claimed 2.5 million protesters in France against 963,000 people according to the Ministry of the Interior.

Compared to the last day of mobilization of the week, Tuesday, February 7, the numbers are also lower. The CGT had announced almost 2 million protesters against 757,000 according to the Ministry of the Interior.
