Bruno Bonduelle, former president of the Bonduelle group, died this Friday at the age of 89 at his home in Marcq-en-Barœul (North), announced the voice of the north. The emblematic norteño capo ran the family business specializing in converse and frozen vegetables between 1985 and 1994.
After leaving the presidency of the group, Bruno Bonduelle became involved in the promotion and development of the Lille agglomeration. He was president of the Association for the international promotion of Lille Métropole (APIM), president of the Greater Lille Committee (business association of which he was one of the co-founders) from 1993 to 2005 and also president of the CCI Lille. Métropole between 2004 and 2010. He also participated in Lille’s bid for the 2004 Olympics.

The mayor of Lille, Martine Aubry, expressed her “great sadness” at the announcement of the disappearance of Bruno Bonduelle, a man “who put his determination at the service of the Lille metropolis”.
Xavier Bertrand, president of Hauts-de-France, meanwhile, greeted a “visionary” and an “exceptional figure” in the region.
