Gabriel Attal made a new point about fuel allocation this Thursday. A guest of France info, the Minister Delegate in charge of Public Accounts indicated that “a little less than 4 million French people” have obtained this aid, while it is assumed that 10 million people have fiscal rights to it.
“We still have to make progress so that the French who have the right to claim it,” the minister said. Bruno Le Maire announced that the device would run “until the end of March”, instead of the end of February. Launched on January 16, the 100-euro fuel bonus aims to help people who use their vehicle to go to work.
“The first criterion to be able to benefit from this aid is to work,” Gabriel Attal insisted this Monday. Two requirements must be met: use a vehicle (car or two wheels) to go to work and have a reference tax income per share less than or equal to 14,700 euros per year.
A simulator on the tax site
“There are people who have made the request and who are not entitled to it, either due to problems with enrollment or income cap issues,” said the Minister in Charge of Public Accounts. “That’s why we put a simulator on the impots.gouv.fr site,” he added.
Workers eligible for the fuel subsidy must go to this same tax site to apply. Then they must enter their tax identification number, their license plate and complete an affidavit indicating that they need their vehicle to get to work.
As a reminder, the subsidy is paid per individual and not per household, which means that it can be requested by two members of the same modest couple who need their own vehicle to work.
