SCIE: The guarantee of performance and security for your wired networks

In a context of energy crisis, with budget restrictions, scarcity of raw materials and strengthening of environmental requirements, how can we adequately manage our development projects? SCIE presents its solutions around its specialty: high/low current installations.

For more than 30 years, SCIE has been carrying out and maintaining electrical and computer installations for an increasingly demanding tertiary clientele. Interview with Brian Bouzidi, Managing Director.

What services do you offer? Have they evolved over time?

Historically, SCIE has specialized in the creation, development and maintenance of electrical and computer installations for public and private tertiary clients. But our society has evolved, especially with the appearance of new technologies and environmental issues, which have given rise to new needs and new technical solutions. To respond to this, we had to expand our know-how, train our staff and we acquired Theillaud-Roffi, which became our specialized subsidiary in general electricity and fire systems.

Today we are considered true specialists in fields as varied as VDI computer network cabling, the installation of fire safety systems, access control or video surveillance systems. Currently, these services represent even more than half of our activity. I specify that our main area of activity is in the Ile-de-France, but that we can travel throughout the territory on demand.

How do you explain your longevity?

At SCIE we are committed to a qualitative approach, and we do everything possible to guarantee a demanding service to each of our clients and at each stage of the production process.

We provide them with all the serenity they need to carry out their projects, putting at their disposal not only all our resources and technical knowledge, but above all our organizational and logistical know-how and our experience of more than 30 years.

How is your business organized?

SCIE has a fundamental asset: the experience and qualification of its employees. Some sixty people work in confidence, involved and united, with the common goal of participating in the client’s success.

At SCIE, the teams are diverse, from engineers to the design office, through experienced project managers who supervise the work, through an efficient logistics department that manages supplies and technical teams ranging from the site manager to the apprentice.

The transmission and training of young people are part of the founding values of SCIE, which every year hires numerous students, interns and/or temporary workers.

What are your responses to current environmental problems?

Our status as an electricity company gives us a leading role, especially in matters of energy saving or CSR in general. Because we are aware of our environmental footprint, we transfer to our employees the appropriate actions to apply daily to minimize our impact.

We are committed to a process of reducing our transport and supply costs. We emphasize the recyclability of the materials used and provide our clients with recycling slips and certificates for each project.

In addition to good practices, we are developing skills related to these topics, as we increasingly carry out operations to install energy efficient lighting fixtures and most recently surpassed our QUALIFELEC IRVE 1 and 2 ratings for charging station installation. systems
