Coperni strikes again. The French fashion house, founded by Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, has once again chosen to make an impact during its fall-winter 2023 show at Paris Fashion Week. On Friday, the new collection once again combined fashion and technology as it was presented by the “Spots” robots alongside their usual models.
On the podium, installed in a room of the National Theater of Chaillot, have appeared five yellow robots from Boston Dynamics in the shape of green-eyed dogs. Which steals the show from the young models clad all in black, including Lila Grace Moss, daughter of Kate Moss.
During the show, the models took turns giving and retrieving their bags from the mouths of these futuristic dogs.
It is not the first time for Coperni
The most striking moment is when the Dutch Rianne Van Rompaey advances towards one of the robots, bringing her face closer to his. Suddenly, the machine rips off the jacket the model is wearing, revealing a short black dress.
During its last parade in October, the Coperni house had already innovated with the model Bella Hadid. The latter had appeared on stage, clad only in her underwear, before being doused with a liquid that, once solidified, formed a white dress in the space of just a few minutes.
On Twitter, many netizens called this performance “a memorable moment in fashion history.”
With 67 shows scheduled, what to expect from Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2023-24?
