Two “wild” power cuts blamed on strikers and in the Capécure port area and a commercial area affected up to 4,000 users on Tuesday morning in Boulogne-sur-Mer, in the Pas-de-Calais, Enedis told AFP .

These cuts, caused between 8 and 8:30 a.m., still deprived some 1,500 customers of power at noon, the electricity distributor reported to AFP.

These cuts occurred when “agents from the electricity and gas industries, including those from Enedis, gathered” in the Capécure port area, whose activity was paralyzed in the morning by protesters who blocked all heavy traffic, he said. Enedis.

The outages notably disrupted the operation of an Auchan in Saint-Martin-Boulogne, on the outskirts of the city. “The store is open, but the journey and deliveries are interrupted,” an employee at the store’s reception told AFP.

On its Facebook page, the mall in this area announced in the morning the closure of the stores in the mall.
