March 7: almost one in four agents on strike in the state civil service

The mobilization of civil servants against the pension reform experienced a strong rebound on Tuesday, with 24.4% of the 2.5 million state civil servants on strike at noon.

According to the provisional participation rates at noon, almost one in four agents is on strike in the state civil service (24.4%), compared to less than 5% during the strike on February 16.

The mobilization also affects 11% of the 2 million agents of the territorial public service and 9.4% of the hospital side (out of 1.2 million agents), according to figures from the Ministry of Public Administration.

Growing

On the rise, the mobilization does not, however, reach the heights of the first day of the strike against the pension reform: on January 19, 28% of state officials, 11.3% of territorial agents and 9.9% of hospital workers were on strike at noon.

Since that first day, strike rates had dropped with almost every new mobilization. After the debut of the movement, the ensemble of the unions representing the fonction publique appealed to the grève mardi against the project to reform the portraits of the government, where the measure has the right to repousse from 62 to 64 ans l’âge légal output.
