SNCF, planes, fuel… What awaits us this weekend?

We still have to expect riots, especially in the air, before the new day of mobilization scheduled for Tuesday, March 28 against the pension reform.

After a ninth day of mobilization this Thursday against the pension reform, the mess, especially in transport, should continue this weekend of March 25. Panorama.

• SNCF

Traffic will continue to improve on the SNCF this weekend before the new mobilization day next Tuesday. For Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March, the SNCF plans:

  • 3 TER of 4 in national average,
  • 3 TGV INOUI (France and International) and 4 OUIGO,
  • 1 day INTERCITES 2,
  • there is no INTERCITES traffic at night,
  • normal or almost normal traffic for Eurostar and Thalys.

The operator also indicates that the interruptions will continue this Monday, March 27.

• RATP

There should be no changes from Friday with a Normal circulation in the Metro, Bus and Tram networks.

Be careful though, line 14 will be completely closed this weekend due to construction.

Traffic will be almost normal on line A of the RER and interrupted on line B.

• Aerial

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) asked airlines to reduce their flight schedule by 15% on Saturday in Paris-Orly and 20% in Bordeaux-Mérignac, Lyon-Saint-Exupéry and Marseille-Provence.

“Despite these preventive measures, interruptions and delays are expected,” adds the DGAC.

For Sunday, the DGAC has asked the airlines to preemptively yield 33% of their flights at the Paris-Orly airport and 20% of the flights at Lyon-Saint-Exupéry and Marseille-Provence.

• Fuels

The energy sector has remained particularly mobilized since January 19 against the government’s pension reform.

“Now, with the warehouses on strike and five of the six refineries closed, the objective is to hold out until the withdrawal” of the text, Eric Sellini, the CGT’s national coordinator of Chemistry, explained to AFP.

According to figures from the UFIP (organization that groups energy and oil companies), this Friday morning there is a 15% shortage of at least one fuel nationwide.

With strong regional disparities:

  • Loire Valley: 36%
  • Brittany: 34%
  • Bale: 29%
  • Île-de-France: 17%
  • Normandy: 16%

Still according to the UFIP, between 5 and 10 deposits are still blocked out of the 200 in France.

According to the Penurie.mon-essence.fr site, this Friday morning, 2,161 service stations were in shortage of at least one type of fuel (against 1,200 on March 21), including 972 in total break.

Given these supply difficulties, fuel purchase restrictions are in force until Monday, March 27 in the Vaucluse and Gard departments. Individuals are entitled to 30 liters for cars and 120 liters for vehicles over 3.5 tons.

At the same time, personnel requisitions multiplied to allow fuel shipments.

The supply of fuel to the Paris basin by Totalenergies’ largest refinery in Gonfreville-L’Orcher in Normandy thus resumed on Friday after a police intervention and a requisition of employees, the Transition minister said. Energetic, Agnes Pannier-Runacher.

“Pumping has been restarted” and “this makes it possible to supply Ile-de-France”, declared the minister questioned by RMC.

According to Eric Sellini, “shipments will only resume, very partially and if they are successful, and in a single product, kerosene because the Paris airports are dry.”

Three employees of the Totalenergies refinery in Donges, on strike since March 7, were also required according to the CFDT “to pipe fuel to Vern-sur-Seiche”, a fuel depot near Rennes.

The same in Fos-sur-Mer, near Marseille, where employees were searched on Tuesday.

• Garbage Men

We should not count on a clear improvement on the garbage front in Paris since the CGT Public Services voted to renew the strike until Monday the 27th.

“The entire waste sector of the city of Paris: garbage collectors who are civil servants of the city of Paris, garbage collectors from the private sector and employees of incineration plants”, specifies Natacha Pommet, general secretary of the federation of public services CGT in figaro.

However, employees of the private company Pizzorno ended the strike on Friday afternoon in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. Waste collection is therefore resuming “immediately”, indicates this Friday afternoon the mayor (LR), Philippe Goujon, on the microphone of BFM Paris Île-de-France.

In other good news, two of the three incineration plants that treat waste in Paris reopened on Friday morning after two and a half weeks of strike, the metropolitan union Syctom told AFP.

It is the “definitive end” of the movement in these two sites, where the incineration furnaces “should reopen tomorrow Saturday”, with the employees waiting to “have enough waste in the pit.” These motion stops “will allow us to return to fully normal operation,” Syctom hopes.

• Events

Waiting for the new day of mobilization 28th March, a call for a new meeting was launched on social networks with the aim of meeting at the Place de la République in Paris at 7:00 p.m. this Friday night. We can also expect spontaneous meetings this Saturday.
