The aid for low-income households for heating with firewood or fuel oil will be extended for one month, as the Government considers that all “those who were entitled could not benefit from it,” the Minister for Energy Transition announced this Thursday. Agnes Pannier-Runacher.
Low-income households that heat with fuel oil may request this aid of between 100 and 200 euros until April 30, that is, an additional period of one month for the 1.6 million eligible households.
For the firewood check, which ranges between 50 and 200 euros depending on income, family composition and type of fuel, the request can also be made online until the end of May, that is, an additional period of one month for the 2.6 million eligible households.
“When the energy check is a check that arrives automatically on the basis of the tax return for the French, the wood check and the fuel check must be requested. Therefore, I really invite the millions of French who are worried about them showing up.” said Agnès Pannier-Runacher into the Sud Radio microphone.

The minister stressed that it was important that this aid reached the French, considering that all “those who were entitled to it” had not been able to benefit from it.
Questioned by AFP, the ministry could not communicate the number of beneficiaries to date.
The request for wood and fuel oil checks is done online at chequeboisfioul.asp-public.fr.
In addition, the Minister warned against scams related to cold calling. “When they tell you that the photovoltaic panel is one euro or free, or that the thermal renovation is free, it does not exist. Today the State does not approach the French,” he said.
On several occasions, the Government has been questioned in its communication regarding aid to households and companies in the face of the explosion in energy prices, the envelopes destined for having been used less than expected on occasions. Companies, in particular, had pushed for a simplification of aid applications, considered too complex.
