The commercial court authorizes Canal+ not to restore the broadcast of TF1 by satellite

A week after the negotiations for the merger between TF1 and M6 were completed, the commercial court issued a ruling giving the Canal+ group the option of not re-establishing the broadcast of the first satellite channel.

Canal+ is not obliged to retransmit TF1 channels in its TNT Sat satellite offer, which allows households that do not have terrestrial DTT to receive television, according to an order from the Paris commercial court, which AFP learned this Thursday.

This (mentioned) emergency procedure, at the end of which TF1 was dismissed, is only part of the conflict between the two groups. this exploded when Canal+ stopped broadcasting the TF1 channels at the beginning of September, in the absence of an economic agreement for the renewal of its contract.
