Totalenergies “temporarily” extends the price freeze to 1.99 euros per liter for all fuels

The oil group has announced that the Excellium product range (SP 98 and Diesel Excellium) will now be affected by the price cap, given supply difficulties.

TotalEnergies will “temporarily” extend its cap price measure to 1.99 euros per liter starting Friday for all fuels (SP95, SP98, diesel, Excellium), the group announced Thursday in a press release.

“The price freeze measure started in March therefore also applies to the Excellium product range (SP98 and Diesel Excellium) until the stations no longer experience supply difficulties,” according to the press release.

Since March 1, fuel prices at the 3,400 Totalenergies stations in France are capped at 1.99 euros per liter. A measure that was not valid for high-end diesel and unleaded Excellium 98 products.
