The general secretary of the CFDT Laurent Berger denounces this Saturday in the columns of the Parisian the enactment of the pension reform overnight from Friday to Saturday, speaking of a “contempt” of Emmanuel Macron.
“Emmanuel Macron’s message with this promulgation in the middle of the night is contempt for the world of work and disconnection with reality until the end,” he denounces.
The pension reform law, in particular the postponement of the legal retirement age from 62 to 64, was promulgated this Saturday morning, after being partially validated by the Constitutional Council on Friday.
“Only Losers”
The head of the CFDT returns to denounce the reform, assuring that it only has “losers”, statements that respond to those of Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne on Friday.
“The workers who are going to be affected, the government, social cohesion and social justice,” he lists later.
“We are not going to let go of the government”
Laurent Berger also expresses his determination to continue with the mobilization despite the promulgation this Saturday of the pension reform.
“The second shared initiative referendum remains. Regarding the decrees, the concrete implementation of the measures, we are not going to let go of the government,” he assured, while the Constitutional Council rejected this Friday the first request for a shared initiative referendum.
In a press release, the CGT calls on the workers this Saturday to “continue the mobilization in all its peaceful forms”, evoking the dates of April 20 and 28.
