Emmanuel Macron speech: President says “door will always be open” for unions

In his televised speech this Friday night, Emmanuel Macron declares that he wants to receive “tomorrow morning” the business and trade union organizations, for whom “the door will always be open”.

Emmanuel Macron announces that he wants to receive “business organizations and trade unions” starting Tuesday morning, for whom “the door will always be open,” he said during his televised speech on Monday night. The inter-union has for the moment refused to meet with the executive before May 1, the date of a new unitary mobilization.

The President of the Republic, who with this speech tries to close the chapter on the pension reform, promised to build a “new pact for life at work” through social dialogue in France.
