“In general, if we carry out a pension reform, we obviously have a responsibility to the elderly.” The president of Medef Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux was received this Tuesday at the Élysée by Emmanuel Macron, a few days after the promulgation of the pension reform that should enter into force this year.
During his speech to the French, the President of the Republic called for “a new pact for life at work built on social dialogue” for “the end of this year”.
“We are ready to go”
If the Constitutional Council validated most of the reform, including the lowering of the retirement age to 64 years, it nevertheless rejected 6 provisions, among them the senior index and the experimentation of the senior CDI.
“We are ready to go […] we will interact with the unions in the coming days and weeks to see if there is anything to negotiate”, continued Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux on our antenna.
