Azores Airlines and Air Açores, airlines of the SATA group, had a negative net result of 32.4 and 2.5 million euros in 2022 respectively, the company announced on Friday.
However, in a statement, the group clarifies that 2022 was “the best revenue year ever” for both Azores Airlines (211.1 million euros) and SATA Air Açores (92.2 million euros).
Regarding the loss of 34.2 million euros by SATA Internacional–Azores Airlines (responsible for air connections to and from the archipelago), the company says it represents an improvement “by 21.6 million euros compared to 2019 and by about 16.1 million euros compared to 2021”.
The net result of minus 2.5 million euros for SATA Air Açores (connections between islands in the archipelago) in 2022 represented an improvement of “4.3 million euros compared to 2021”.
