Inauguration of the Québec City tramway in 2029
The French group, well established in Quebec since the takeover of its Canadian competitor Bombardier Transport, was alone in the race, according to local press.
Alstom will supply the capital of Quebec with Citadis-type trams, its flagship model that equips most French cities, but also Casablanca, Dubai, Ottawa, Rotterdam, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney. The oars will be adapted to the local climate and will be made in the region. 19.3 km long and underground in the heart of the city, the Quebec City Tram will open in 2029.
