Apple loves France and its tech ecosystem. In an interview in Sunday newspaperTim Cook, the CEO of the American giant is full of praise.
“France is interesting because it is at the crossroads of creativity, culture and innovation. We obviously see it in French cinema or design. The same happens with developers,” he stresses.
300,000 French developers
The leader of the firm on the block also specifies that “those in the iOS field (the environment of the iPhone, iPad, etc., editor’s note) represent 300,000 people. Together they have placed 40,000 applications in the App Store.”
Enough to make it the largest developer community in Europe. “Yes, in France we have been involved in Station F since its inception. We are also working with Simplon.co to try to make the code known to as many people as possible”, adds the manager.
It details that the global community of developers dedicated to Apple is “36 million people. A simply unimaginable number,” rejoices Tim Cook, who already has no less than 1.8 million applications in the Apple store.
