As summer draws to a close, Hallmark fans can finally look forward to the approach of the network’s annual holiday lineup. However, it may be the latest for star Luke Macfarlane, who has become a fixture on the much-loved Christmas movie season list.
Luke Macfarlane has starred in 13 Hallmark films to date, with number 14 coming out this winter. In many of his Hallmark films he played a firefighter, who warms things up when it’s cold outside. Even if the next movie christmas village it looks like it will be the last, as he said Los Angeles Times:
They’ve been really good to me, but I think I’ve been telling my story to those people so far. I mean, how many firefighters can I play?
While many Hallmark stars have left for the GAC Family, it seems like it’s more so that Luke Macfarlane can focus on the rest of his career. Plus, playing a firefighter, CEO, or bartender can have its limitations if you’ve been doing it for different roles for so long. It should be noted that, as many Hallmark stars have signed new deals, the actor signed a multi-film deal with Crown Media Family Networks earlier this year, but according to dressing tableto be completed in the fall, so timing would make sense.

It should certainly be interesting to see Macfarlane in a role that suits him the most, since he is openly gay. He might be sad for Hallmark viewers not to see him as a firefighter, like he’s inside The Christmas of an addicted shoe! Hopefully in the future she will play other heroes from her hometown, and this won’t be the last Christmas movie she will make.
