Eight years after Prince’s death, new unreleased songs from the singer are about to be unveiled. The artist’s heirs have announced the release on October 27 of one of his most famous albums: diamonds and pearls.
This new edition of diamonds and pearlsconsidered one of the best albums of his career, it will offer 47 previously unreleased tracks (including alternative versions) and a recording of more than two hours of a 1991 concert offered in Minneapolis.
Two never heard songs
In particular, there will be two never-before-heard pieces: Alice through the mirrora song recorded in May 1991 in Los Angeles, and Insatiablethe original version of diamonds and pearls.
This is the third reissue of a Prince classic since his death. previous editions of 1999 AND Signature O’the Times allowed fans to delve into the files on the Minneapolis Kid.
Released in 1991, diamonds and pearls is Prince’s latest worldwide hit. It sold more than 5.8 million copies and the album hit its mark with hits like Cream AND get out.
