“Then I’m going by motorhome”, at the end of his performance on the stage of the V&B festival, on Sunday at Château-Gontier, in Mayenne, Damso announced a pause in his career and met his fans in 2025.
“Thank you very much and we will catch up in 2025. Thank you,” he concluded.
The Belgian rapper had mentioned the famous motorhome in early August on his now-deleted Instagram account.
“I don’t know how you are, but know that there is a man who has just fulfilled his dream. I bought a motorhome,” he wrote at the bottom of a photo of himself driving the vehicle.
Going around the world in a van is apparently an old dream for Damso, who already spoke about it in 2021 in an interview with Guardian. He confided in him his desire to go green, to make music in a motorhome equipped with recording equipment, far from it all, in a forest in Ireland or Iceland.
Damso spent the summer touring festivals, from the Plaza Mayor in Arras to the Déferlantes du Barcarès in the Pyrénées-Orientales, to Lollapalooza in Paris and the Festival Delta in Marseille. The V&B festival was his last concert.
Everything smiles at the rapper, who has a series of hits, from ipseity in 2017, diamond disc (more than 500,000 sales), in QALFtriple platinum record (410,000 sales), in 2020, via lithopedion in 2018, also a triple platinum record (475,000 sales).
