The first excerpt from Gims’ album, released Wednesday, sounds a bit like a mea culpa. “I learn from mistakes, I let it happen / I build little by little I hope”, she sings in this song, titled Now.
“It’s a way of saying: ‘Look, I think I screwed up, like many of us, I may have made bad decisions, but I have to move on,'” he also told RTL on Wednesday.
“We can all be wrong, I am not a politician. I am an artist and above all I am human”.
Like Soprano, Gims has adopted very ’80s accents for certain titles on this record. Now.
Gims performed last spring with his former Sexion d’Assaut bandmates for a 50-date tour entitled the return of the kings. A self-titled album was also announced this time, but has yet to see the light of day.
The Gims album, baptized Mozart’s last wishes, will premiere on December 2. “He is a UFO, a divisive character, a virtuoso”, he explained to RTL to justify the choice of this title.
