A few days after his serious motorcycle accident, Mathieu Kassovitz gives some reassuring news. The French actor posted a video on Instagram story from his hospital bed to thank the public for their support and inform them of his state of health.
“I fell off the bike, stupidly, I broke my femur and ankle. I’m in rehab and I’m coming out of the operation.”
“I wanted to thank everyone who called me and sent me messages of support,” he continues. “Thank you so much, I didn’t know you had so many friends. It’s cute.” And to continue evoking the theatrical release this Wednesday of Visions, by Yann Gozlan, in which he responds to Diane Kruger:
“It’s stupid, Vision is opening in the theater tonight… I can’t go, I hope you do.”
Mathieu Kassovitz took part in a riding development course on Sunday for the needs of a future motorcycle shoot at the Linas-Monthléry circuit in Essonne, south of Paris. He then lost control of his two-wheeler.
The Evry prosecutor’s office clarified that the actor was the only one involved in this accident and that he did not collide with another vehicle. An investigation has been opened to “look for the causes of the injuries” and will be based in particular on the hearing of witnesses, including the driving instructor.
On Monday, his family had already published a press release to give reassuring news.
