If you ever need to feel better about yourself, look Donkey and be happy not to put your body into what these guys are doing. From television to cinema Donkey it has been your home for people who have intentionally injured themselves in ways you may not have imagined in a long time. And if you don’t want to wait for the next movie, you can watch them hurt each other on social media.
Donkey prop Steve-O just posted a video on Instagram showing his partner Donkey star Chris Pontius trying to smash a bottle in his head. Seeing broken glass on Steve-O’s skull would be bad enough, but trust me, it’s not as bad as looking at glass. No breaks on the head, check.
It’s hilarious to see one guy having to apologize to another for not being able to accidentally break a bottle on his head. We don’t see Pontius apologizing after the bottle broke, only when he doesn’t. To be honest, the sound the bottle makes, or more specifically, the sound Steve-O’s head makes when the bottle hits it, and that definitely doesn’t sound good.
Then the clip continues with the bottle actually breaking, which I wouldn’t ask anyone else to do, but the bottle better not break. At least the swing energy is going somewhere other than Steve-O’s brain.
I guess it shows some dedication to his craft that Steve-O is willing to put his body on the line for a simple Instagram video. At least when he does it for one of the Donkey movie, someone pays him, probably not an insignificant amount, to do his various crazy stunts. While taking a blow to the skull is sure to draw attention, I write this, after all, it still doesn’t seem worth it.
To be honest, Steve-O is probably still in better shape than some former students. Donkey franchising. Bam Margera has been in and out of rehabilitation several times in the past year. All this while facing a custody battle, as well as a lawsuit against the manufacturers of donkey forever after being banned from the movie in the 2022 film schedule, even though the last piece has finally been fixed.
Steve-O himself recently stated that he and Bam have a good relationship. So maybe there is hope to resolve the tension that clearly exists there. So these guys can start fighting together again. At this point, it’s not clear if we’ll ever see more of them Donkey. However, the people involved are clearly not going to stop harming themselves, so they might as well get paid to do it.
