The food that will be served to King Charles III during his visit to France is already known. Dining Wednesday night in the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles, the British sovereign and his wife, Queen Camilla, will enjoy seafood and poultry, ending on a sweet note from Pierre Hermé. Here is the full menu:
Entrance
Blue lobster and pot crab with a veil of fresh almonds and rooster mint
Dish
Bresse poultry with corn flavor, gratin boletus
Cheese
30 month county, Stilchelton.
Dessert
Isfahan by Pierre Hermé
The proposal will be led by Anne-Sophie Pic, the only French chef with three Michelin stars for her restaurant in Paris. The main course, for its part, will be provided by Yannick Alléno. The Ispahan is one of Pierre Hermé’s emblematic creations. It is a macaroon and rose flavored cream, garnished with fresh raspberries and lychees.
Precise visit
This visit by the British sovereign and his wife occurs six months after a first cancellation, due to the mobilization against the pension reform. The program, presented last week, leaves nothing to chance.
Upon arrival in Paris on Wednesday, the royal couple will travel to the Arc de Triomphe for a ceremony to rekindle the flame and lay a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The king and president will then descend the Champs-Elysées in a vehicle marked French Republic, and the queen and Brigitte Macron in another.
Both leaders will then head to the Elysée Palace for a face-to-face meeting that will address biodiversity, climate, the artificial intelligence summit scheduled for November in the United Kingdom, as well as the situation in the Sahel and Ukraine. The day will end with dinner in the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles.
Thursday will be marked by a visit to the restoration site of the Notre-Dame cathedral. On Friday, Carlos and Camilla will travel to Bordeaux.
