The Serie Everything is going wella family comedy-drama played in particular by Virginie Efira, will premiere on November 15 on the Disney+ platform, according to its creator, Camille de Castelnau, co-writer of the Legends Office.
This production, divided into eight 52-minute episodes, follows an ordinary family hit by tragedy, the serious illness of a child, mixing drama and comedy, as few French series have attempted until now.
A personal experience
Cesarized this year, Virginie Efira plays Claire, Marion’s sister (Sara Giraudeau), very involved and disturbed by her niece’s illness. She also acts alongside, among others, Alyocha Schneider (Niels’s brother, her companion in the city), Nicole García and Bernard Le Coq.
At the origin of the project, “the personal family experience suffered” by Camille de Castelnau and her relatives, the author explains to AFP. “We went through this ordeal of the illness of a girl at that time, which was a very serious, fatal illness, it was years of ordeal,” explains she who “always writes to recover emotions.”
“I wanted to talk about this moment of crisis” without falling into pure tragedy, as in real life, where “sometimes we laugh at moments when we shouldn’t,” such as during funerals, adds this admirer of the series. six feet below EITHER Big little lies.
Writing requirement
If the first two episodes are made by the creator of the Legends Office, Eric Rochant, and we find Sara Giraudeau, his unforgettable spy Marina Loiseau, the two series do not have much in common, warns Camille de Castelnau. Otherwise, she expects, the same “demands on writing and casting.”
After the historical drama (Oussekine), the family comedy (family weekend) or romantic (Irresistible), Disney continues to expand its offer of French productions, with local creators.
For this reason, the company “has never tried to soften” the series, including “a very harsh episode towards the end, which tells things that I have never seen told,” says Camille de Castelnau.
