As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, the franchise has created some unlikely movie stars. Chief among them may be Groot, the Guardians of the Galaxy member who only utters three words, but has remained a popular character in all of its iterations. Vin Diesel now anticipates what will come next Groot guardians of the galaxy vol. 3. Could Groot really have the movie of him?
Groot recently became a Disney + star thanks to a series of CGI animated shorts called I’m groot. They are fun little movies suitable for all ages, not just those who watch Marvel movies in order for a weekend. They are apparently a hit with Vin Diesel’s young niece, as the actor mentions on Instagram as he greets Kristin Lepore, who wrote and directed them. However, he also hints at what Groot’s future might be when he says that Marvel Studios are interested in making a movie on Planet X.
We know it guardians of the galaxy vol. 3 will mark the end of this version of the intergalactic team. However, that doesn’t mean the characters in the franchise won’t continue to be a part of the MCU in some other way. If we are to take Vin Diesel at his word, there seems to have been at least a few conversations with Groot’s voice about where Groot might go next. This Planet X movie doesn’t seem ready to be added to the list of upcoming Marvel movies just yet, but it could be a possibility.
Planet X is Groot’s home planet in the comics, so a Planet X movie could be a movie about Groot’s origin story, or it could see the character return home after everything that happened to him in guardians of the galaxy vol. 3. In the past there has been talk of Rocket and Groot having their own MCU story, and maybe this Planet X movie might just be that, with the two friends going to Groot’s house and finding a world that needs their help. .
It is certainly possible that Vin Diesel is having fun with this idea. Maybe he was raised by the folks at Marvel and the studio didn’t completely shut down the idea. Vin Diesel included the Alpha Groot hashtag in the post, which is a reference to Groot that Diesel made before that no one else, including James Gunn, admitted they understood, so Planet X and Alpha Groot can talk more about Diesel than they do. amuses that of Something real. .
Seeing Groot act in a movie seems like a tough undertaking, at the same time, we’ve seen Marvel Studios do long takes in the past that have paid off, so who knows? It seems likely that Groot has a post-tutor future in the MCU, it’s pretty popular, so the question is simply: where will it go next? Planet X is definitely an option.
