A fan was roasted by Rian Johnson for Knives Out 2 Threat, and now the post is going viral

Rian Johnson is currently one of Hollywood’s most sought-after directors. After the success of (of something polarizing) Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Johnson began to do knives out, a fun thriller-style mystery film with an ensemble cast. Now the director is about to celebrate the release of the sequel, Glass onion: a mystery at loggerheads, critically acclaimed. Netflix subscribers will be able to see the film in December after its limited theatrical release. However, a fan told Johnson they would boycott knives out 2 for some interesting reason, and led to a hilarious response from the acclaimed director that is now going viral.

The fan was upset that Rian Johnson wasn’t following her anymore Twitter, even though he still likes her tweets. With this, the person said that he intends to watch the movie illegally on the Internet instead of streaming it or watching it during the movie. Johnson hilariously responded, saying he would ask Netflix to present the glass onion First at the fan house. When he replied that they currently live with his mother, Johnson replied again with another fantastic tweet. Check out the amazing fan interaction below:

This is a serious social media withdrawal. It’s such a fun interaction and I’m glad the director can joke about his movies and get cheeky with fans of him in the process. This isn’t the first time Rian Johnson’s presence on Twitter has garnered widespread attention. She took over the knives out the movie’s Twitter account in 2020, and it was awesome. Lately, he’s even had a lot of fun responding to fan theories and speculation about the future of the mysterious franchise. In short, Johnson is truly a man of the people.

I really hope this fan who was roasted by Rian Johnson takes a look glass onion (legally) at some point because, based on early trailers and reviews from the Toronto International Film Festival, this may be Johnson’s best film to date. Daniel Craig returns to help a stellar cast solve the mystery of a shocking death on a private Greek island. Some even say the film is even better than knives out, And that’s an understatement. I can’t wait to see what the director has in store for this story and whether or not it will end in more viral (and hilarious) back and forth with fans as he begins to further promote the film.

Glass onion: a mystery at loggerheads It will have its week-long theatrical run starting November 23, before making its streaming debut on December 23. (I guess we’ll have to wait and see if Netflix and this fan’s mom accept the star-studded premiere at home.)
