Why is Daymond John of Shark Tank still in “Very Challenging Times”?

What Shark tank having reached the milestone of 300 episodes on television, it is a good time to reflect on the impressive journey of the series and the Sharks that have been part of it. Daymond John is one of the originals and it’s been there from the start. While others have come and gone over the years, he remains busy despite these “very difficult times”.

Gossipify had the honor of speaking with Daymond John immediately after his appearance season 8 of the masked singer and talked about his long career in Shark tank. When asked if he had thought about when he might decide to leave the ABC series, the business mogul explained that he has no plans to leave anytime soon for a very good reason:

I am very proud of the show. I have no plans to go anywhere yet because we are in the middle of the beginning of the series. We are starting in the middle of a recession and we are going through a very difficult time for people. I’m happy to be an African American who can show people that we all have the same challenges and that we all have more in common than separate. This rug doesn’t care about your color, your creed, your gender, your sexual preferences. You just have to break your ass like I did and you will be rewarded. This entrepreneurial spirit will reward you if you put in the effort.

Daymond John may take some time to deal with other celebrities unmasked in the masked singerbut think about staying Shark tank for a moment. With “hard times” for people across the country, many will race to try and carve out a new life for themselves and their families with great ideas. Some of these people may be lucky enough to strike a deal with John and the others, or at least get the exposure they need to increase their chances of success.

For now, it doesn’t look like Daymond John is going anywhere, but the shark has acknowledged that his time will come sooner or later. John told Gossipify that while he was enjoying himself at Shark tank, he will eventually have to step aside for a similar-minded but potentially younger tycoon. He said:

My time will run out on Shark Tank sooner or later. I think, I hope, I’ve been a big part of the franchise and the show’s history, but there must be more vacancies for the world’s new Daymond Johns who will have the foresight and, you know, more energy and are ready.

Daymond John joined Shark tank initially and currently sits alongside Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec, Kevin O’Leary, Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner. The show is in season 14 and will hit 300 episodes with the next episode on October 21st.

Hitting 300 episodes is a real feat for any series, but certainly a special feat for one that has been online since 2009 and continued through major events like the pandemic. They also found time for host celebrities such as Kevin Hart which is fun, although it may not have the same trading experience as other sharks (or equally ferocious ).

Yes Shark tank it is still going strong as the journey doesn’t seem to be over anytime soon. As long as there’s someone looking to get rich on a new product (and richer people looking to fund that idea to cut profits), this streak could go on forever. Regardless of whether you do it or not, the current library is available to anyone with a Hulu subscription .

Shark tank melodies in ABC Friday at 8pm ET. Tune in on October 21 to watch the 300th episode and see which of the sharks teams up with an inventor who could bring the next big thing to the world.
