Kanye West explains. The American rapper, at the center of a controversy after making anti-Semitic statements on his social networks in early October, reacted on Instagram to the wave of protests and calls for a boycott to which he is subjected.
In his account, the artist shared a screenshot of a note in which he speaks with Ari Emmanuel, American celebrity agent and founder of Endeavor Talent Agency, who called all companies linked to Kanye West -such as Apple, Spotify or Adidas- to break their collaborations with the artist.
“Ari Emmanuel, I lost $2 billion in one day and I’m still alive. This is a love speech. I still love you. God still loves you. Money is not who I am. People are who I am.” his Instagram post read.

On October 9, Kanye West posted on Instagram screenshots of a conversation with rapper Diddy, who criticized the “White Lives Matter” t-shirt the artist wore during Paris Fashion Week.
In the caption of his now-deleted post, Kanye West wrote, “I’ll use you as an example to show the Jews who told you to call me that no one can threaten me or influence me.”
The rapper then said on Twitter that he was going to attack Jews. A post that has since been removed by the social network for violating the platform’s rules.
Since then, Kanye West’s comments have been condemned by many public figures and several brands that collaborated with the rapper (Gap, Adidas, Balenciaga…) have announced that they want end their associations with the.
