Manifest’s Josh Dallas talks about Ben’s “deep” anger at Season 4’s time jump

The first batch of episodes for ManifestThe fourth and final season of is almost here and with its arrival comes a two-year time jump for the cast of characters. Although this is a big deal for ManifestThe leap will revolve around the fact that Cal is five years older, as solved by a new actor taking on the role, Ben’s emotions will be at their peak. And Josh Dallas talks about the character’s deep anger of him growing over time.

final of the third season Manifest featured a series of cliffhangers, including Grace being stabbed as she attempted to protect her young daughter from the 828er Angelina inciting chaos. Josh Dallas shared with THR that when season 4 opens, Ben isn’t as sure of anything as he was when viewers first met him, and has a lot of pent-up anger and pain. In his words:

It’s difficult. Ben’s path is very difficult. We’re starting part 1 season 4 two years after the end of season 3, so he’s had a lot of time to sink into this deep anger and pain, and he’s questioning everything. He questions everything about the calls, because nothing has been given to him for him. They just took him away. So you don’t want to have anything to do with them anymore, and you also question everything about God and the universe and your own goodness versus evil, and you may wonder if Adrian [Jared Grimes] all along, he was right that Ben and the passengers were agents of the apocalypse and were actually causing this deluge.

Fans know that Ben has always been the most optimistic of passengers and would be the first to believe that the so-called do more good than harm. Especially after Zeke survived his death date, he believed more than anyone else that, following the calls, they could beat this thing. As a result, viewers may find it difficult to see Ben lack his former faith and no longer want to deal with the conscript. Look at that sad face …

Losing not only his wife, but also his young daughter would leave Ben as desperate as ever, and just as upset that he couldn’t do anything to make things right. While he’s obviously not alone, still having his sister, daughter and son (even though he’s five years older now), Ben’s various relationships will no doubt have changed with his family in one way or another, especially regarding the efforts to find his son. . .

Josh Dallas had previously talked about Ben’s mood and his painful beard. The emptiness he feels after Grace’s death will probably never be completely filled, but it seems that finding Eden safe and sound could help him feel that his wife is still inside him. And the fact that he gave up on the called shows actually only focused on one thing, and he’s his daughter, leaving Michaela to drive the lifeboat out of harm’s way. Hopefully, anyway.

The two-year time jump will take passengers only 18 months before the date of death. With Ben worried about finding Eden, Adrian and other passengers (who will likely be alone after all in the Season 3 finale), it should be a wild ride to see where the story goes at the Season 4 premiere! under!
