The public will soon be able to discover the documentary about Diam’s. Hello, which held the event last summer, will premiere on Prime Video on November 18. The platform announced it this Friday on social networks, by spreading the trailer.
This co-production of the former rapper with the filmmakers Houda Benyamina (divine) and Anne Cissé, talks about what pushed her to abandon music to embrace a rigorous Islam and settle in Saudi Arabia. The rapper-star of the 2000s evokes without shadows the dark scenes of her phenomenal success, events of internment in a clinic, depression, mental disorders and even suicidal thoughts. She also recounts her inner peace now found.
A brief theatrical release
The feature film was originally due to premiere on BrutX at the beginning of the school year. But the date had not been communicated and telerama announced a few days ago that the platform should close its doors at the end of the year.
However, some lucky ones have already been able to see Hello. Presented at the Cannes Film Festival last May, it had a brief theatrical release over two days on July 1 and 2. A box: in a single weekend, the film had achieved 90,000 admissions.
