Les Flammes, a ceremony that rewards rap, returns in a new edition open to the public

Launched in 2023, this ceremony that awards the world of rap in France returns on May 13, 2025 to La Seine Musicale, for a new edition that will be open to the public for the first time.

Les Flammes, a ceremony that rewards rap and its trends, returns with a third edition in 2025. After two years at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris, the event is moving and will be held on May 13 at La Seine Musicale.

There you will find “a larger space, in harmony with your growth and influence,” the organization stated. The room will be shared between professionals from the music industry and the public, with places reserved for youth and the associative sector.

And for the first time since its launch, the Flames ceremony will be accessible to the general public. A pre-sale is planned for Tuesday, August 26 for Spotify subscribers. The official box office will be available online this Wednesday, November 27, starting at 2 p.m.

This decision responds to a “strong demand” from fans and “reflects the event’s desire for inclusion,” the organization explained in a statement.

“It’s an achievement, I’m sure it will give more energy to the show,” says Amadou Ba, co-founder of the Booska-P outlet and co-producer of Les Flammes with YARD, a media and communication agency.

“With the sale of tickets by category, the Culture pass for the youngest and the blocked places for the association sector, I think we have found a balance that reflects what the event embodies,” adds Tom Brunet, co-founder of YARD and co-producer of You call them.

Aya Nakamura and Gazo crowned in 2024

Imagined by the specialized media Yard and Booska-P, Les Flammes aim to correct the oddities of the numerous music award ceremonies, such as the Victoires de la Musique, which have long disdained the field of hip-hop.

For its 2024 edition, Les Flammes returned its letters of nobility to rap by especially crowning the singer Aya Nakamuranamed female artist of the year and rapper gazoawarded the Male Artist of the Year award.

The nominations and winners result from the sum of the public vote and the jury vote, for the vast majority of the trophies awarded. In 2023 and 2024, the event, with which the music streaming leader Spotify is associated, will also be broadcast, in particular, on the YouTube and Twitch platforms.
