A slightly strange tribute, explained by Thierry Lhermitte to BFMTV, on the occasion of the promotion of the book The splendid for the splendid. This is a joke that dates back to the 70s, to the beginnings of the Splendid company.
“We dreamed of creating a company that would be called ‘the French company of intensity’. Like the French company of games, the French company of Charbonnages… It’s so absurd, the French company of intensity!”

On Instagram, Marilou Berry, daughter of Josiane Balasko, explained during Michel Blanc’s funeral that the dedication of the wreath was not brought to the church because no one had understood the humor of the Splendid members.
“These imbeciles did not understand that it was ours, they left them in the square! It is the dedication, the colleagues of the French woman of intensity… They did not understand…” he wrote a few hours after the ceremony.
