After Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on the Oscars stage in March, the Men in Black actor took a months-long hiatus from social media. But at the end of July, Smith returned to the social media scene, and from the following month he posted quite frequently on platforms like Instagram and Twitter. Well, with Halloween behind us and Thanksgiving just weeks away, we’ve officially entered the era of Smith’s comeback social media pranks.
Looking at Will Smith’s Instagram page, you will find a video you posted with simply “Sorry” written in the caption. What are you apologizing for? Well, you’ll have to watch the video in person.
I think we all agree that farting on a plane / helicopter / any type of plane is one of the worst places to spend gas. These confined spaces have poor ventilation, and it’s especially bad if you’re not the person performing the bodily function, but simply in close proximity to the offender. In this case, Smith was accompanied by his children, Trey and Jaden, and I don’t envy them for being in this situation.
Now, Will Smith may not have recognized the fart at all, given the number of times he apologized, it’s probably safe to assume that he didn’t just fart “a little”. So the Hollywood star must have thought it best to tell the truth and clear up any awkward tension … even if saying “I’m sorry” repeatedly created a different kind of awkward moment. It was all captured by director Aidan Tanner, although it’s unclear what kind of project he, Smith and the actor’s children are working on.
Will Smith may have taken the farts joke out of his system, but who knows what other kinds of oddities he might post on his social media in the future. Either way, the actor is back in the news for a while after going unnoticed after his controversial Oscar action. Even though it’s been more than six months since the world last saw Smith play Chris Rock live on television, the event is still often discussed. Visualization went so far as to create a Halloween costume for kids, with Smith himself sharing that he was called by Floyd Mayweather for 10 days right after the slap.
As for what Will Smith has in the professional future, his next film is Emancipationthat Apple TV + subscribers will be able to stream starting December 9. However, a handful of lucky people have already seen it Emancipation thanks to Smith’s personal performances, including a particularly star-studded event he hosted at his home and another he hosted for the LA Lakers.
