Asked how the upcoming series finale will turn out and how it relates wishesMiller offered a peek behind the scenes and said:
Well, I’m working on The Testaments while I’m working on The Handmaid’s Tale season 6. It’s so good to have another book to read. I think people watching the TV show should be comfortable with the fact that just as Handmaid’s didn’t follow the book, The Testaments is a sequel to that TV show. So I’m not necessarily pointing to these things as in The Testaments, but everyone is growing in these directions. a daisy [Atwood] and I’ve had a lot of conversations about the character [of June]. You saw part of the show before you even started writing The Testaments. I think the characters have a lot of similarities, which is wonderful, and they fit the Testament perfectly.
Well, it’s intriguing. sounds like him wills The series won’t exactly be a carbon copy of Margaret Atwood’s 2019 novel of the same name. Perhaps that’s to be expected, given that the handmaid’s tale he took a lot of liberties and made changes to the book. And this should allow even the most widely read fans to be surprised by the content of the spin-off.
Bruce Miller’s comments on Deadline show how much he and people have The Handmaid’s Tale they come to work Emmy winning drama . Because as season 5 draws to a close, plans are already coming to fruition for season 6, along with the spin-offs. And smart money says there will be a lot of it settings for wills during the final season of the original show on Hulu.
wills The novel is told by three different storytellers: Aunt Lydia, Baby Nichole, who grew up in Toronto, and Hannah, also known as Agnes, who grew up in Gilead. And as such, some fans are wondering how the handmaid’s tale The show will take place in late June, and if it will take place in the same way as the novels. Bruce Miller talked about it in the same interview saying:
But for June, I don’t feel compelled to wrap up like in The Testaments. I just want to follow the story and make sure it makes sense. But what you need to remember is that all the voiceovers we hear, this story is June’s story. It’s not called Gilead, it’s The Handmaid’s Tale. I certainly thought of the show as a memoir of a part of June’s life, not the part where she would consider herself a servant. I think in the end, as before the show started, they had lives. She will go on and whatever way she goes and we won’t see it. And because we see that part so intimately, I feel you care about what happens to it next, but it’s not that story.
Well, I’m definitely intrigued. It appears that Bruce Miller and company will continue to appropriate the universe created by Margaret Atwood for the final season of The Handmaid’s Tale. And they clearly have solid plans for how to end the story of protagonist Elisabeth Moss. Will she ever find her daughter Hannah? Only time will tell, but watch this character come back in season 5, it was an exciting experience.
It is currently unclear when The Handmaid’s Tale will release its final season, or when we should expect to return to Gilead wills. Of course, there are a lot of questions about the new series, including whether or not Ann Dowd will return as Aunt Lydia. But smart money says we’ll have to wait a while before we get real information. Fortunately, we can review the first five seasons to keep ourselves busy.
