Neil Young will begin his “Love Earth Tour” tour with his new group The Chrome Hearts, in Ukraine with a free concert. This is what the Canadian musician announced on his official website. The date and place of this concert will be indicated later in this same place.
This announcement occurs after the violent argument between Donald Trump and Volodomyr Zelensky, Friday, February 28 at the White House. The Ukrainian leader, who was invited to negotiate a peace treaty with Donald Trump and vice president JD Vance, left the United States without signing anything.
“Crazy War”
He left after an unprecedented verbal game with Donald Trump in the Oval office, the US president threatening his guest, raising his voice, to “leave” Ukraine if he did not make a concession to Russia. Since then, the US President has announced suspending mitilial aid in Ukraine.
The committed singer chose to show his support for Ukraine, against Putin’s Russia, which has often criticized. For him, the invasion of Ukraine is “the crazy war of an old dying man who wants to revive his life and improve his destiny due to the mistakes he believes he had committed 50 years ago … It is a disturbed spirit.”
Neil Young will begin his tour on June 18, with his group The Chromes Hearts. He anchored the dates last week, and notably spend Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Germany. There is no date currently scheduled in France. Last year, the singer had to cancel the end of his tour for health reasons.
