“This movie is more important than what happened”
Hollywood professionals, therefore, bet rather on a postponement ofEmancipation to 2023, but for its director Antoine Fuqua, that was impossible:
“This film for me is more important than what happened [aux Oscars]”, he said vanity fair. “Four hundred years of slavery is more important than this epiphenomenon.”
“I hope people think the same. I hope they watch the movie and are blown away by Will’s extraordinary performance and the hard work put in by the team,” the director continued on stage.
New nomination for Will Smith?
