A New York judge refused this Friday, April 18, the rapper producer and the influence of Hip-Hop Sean “Diddy” Combs to inform his trial for sexual trafficking, saying that he had had enough time to prepare it.
Arrested last autumn, the 55 -year -old American artist is accused of justice of having put his musical empire at the service of a violent traffic system for sexual exploitation purposes. Since then, it has been the target of civil complaints of more than 120 alleged victims.
New evidence paid to the file
This Friday, Judge Arun Subramanian said that his trial would begin as scheduled on May 5. It should last between 8 and 10 weeks.
“It does not seem clear to me why (…) there is not enough time, especially if we consider Mr. Combross now represented by four law firms,” he said during a hearing in the Federal Court of Manhattan.
One of his lawyers, Marc Aginfilo, requested this postponement to have time to examine the new tests paid to the file. P.diddy declared himself innocent on Monday of two new positions.
In the outfit of prisoners, Sean combs, also called P. Diddy or Puff Daddy, turned during the audience to send a kiss to his mother, Janice.
Several complaints were revealed in the autumn of 2023 against him, in particular with respect to the accusations of rape emanating from the R&B Cassie singer, who was his partner, a procedure finally resolved by a friendly agreement.
Once superstar, Sean combs is described today by its victims as a violent sexual predator, who used alcohol and drugs to obtain its submission.
