The first round of Eurovision 2025 eliminations is celebrated this Tuesday, May 13. Fifteen of the 37 countries in the race will be measured in the San Jakobshalle stage of Basel in Switzerland, during the first semifinal of this 69th edition of the Eurovision competition.
Ten of them will take their place in the final at the end of tonight. Another ten will be qualified on Thursday, May 15 during the second semifinal. To these 20 countries will be added six qualified: the five members of the five major (the largest financial taxpayers, including France) and Switzerland, who won the competition last year with the song. During this first semifinal, three of the countries that are automatically qualified will also occur: Spain, Italy and Switzerland. The first after Estonia, the second after Belgium and the third after Croatia.
