“I hoped to do better”: Louane returns to BFMTV in its seventh place in Eurovision

The 28 -year -old singer, who arrived seventh in Eurovision in Basel on May 17, trusted his adventure during the competition and the projects that waited for her after this experience.

Five days after the Eurovision final, won by the Austrian artist JJ in Basel on May 17, singer Louane, who represented France with his song MotherHe returned to the BFMTV microphone in his seventh place in the classification of the competition.

At the end of the final results of Saturday, May 17, the 28 -year -old artist had decided not to go to the traditional meeting with the press to publicly react to his classification. She explains that she did it because she was “too disappointed” at this time by her score.

“I could not have a hot answer. (…) I needed to take some time because I was too disappointed. I can’t lie about it. I expected to do better in terms of score,” says the singer.

But with retrospect, Louane claims to be “quite proud” of his performance. “At that time, it is certain that it was not easy. But seventh, it is not a bad place, it is also my bearer of figures,” said the artist.

“And then the consequences behind are so incredible that I want to tell me that it will be a luck,” he adds.

“For me and for my mother, that was what I had to do”

When asked about the reasons that would explain their seventh place in the Classification of Eurovision and the 50 points received by the public, Louane trusts not really knowing what or did not play in his favor during the final of the competition.

“It is very difficult to analyze. And I do not prefer to analyze because otherwise I will begin to put myself in a position of” I did badly, it was not what I had to do “, and it is not true,” he said, completely assuming the artistic elections of his performance.

“Maybe that was not what I had to do for the rest of the world, but for me, for my life and for my mother, that was what I had to do,” he continues.

However, the singer is delighted with all the support received by her French fans after her performance. “I cried much more at that time than at the time of the points. I cried with joy to see how much people had behind me,” he says. “It is a human warmth that I did not expect at all.”

Louane also reveals that she could count on her daughter Esmae: “She told me:” Mom, did not earn, but you sang super good and still brought drinks at home, so I’m happy. “

“Open me on international doors”

Despite his seventh place, Louane considers this participation in Eurovision as an “extraordinary experience” that represents a true turning point in his career. “I am not the same girl, it’s obvious. Open meters internationally,” he explains.

“We have returned to the viral world Top 10. The tour is sold very well, the transmissions are a dinguería,” adds the artist.

Faced with this fashion, Louane says that their teams even had to add several additional dates to their tour in Europe at the last minute to meet demand.

And the rest promises to be even more beautiful for the singer who is launched this Friday, May 23, a duo with the American artist Joe Jonas and who is about to start his “only tour” tour next September. “This is much more than anything I can imagine. And having a seventh place in addition, it is crazy,” he concludes.
