“Plus belle la vie”: end of clapping in the music of the series after 18 years of existence

After 4665 episodes and 18 years of existence, the series “Plus belle la vie” has just said goodbye. The last dance scene could not take place anywhere other than in front of the “Mistral”, the famous fictional bar in Marseille.

“If one day we part, we will never forget each other.” Kylian Marci’s last words seem to be addressed directly to fans of the cult series France 3 life is more beautifulwhose last episode aired this Friday night.

As a symbol, the son of Roland Marci, an emblematic character played by Michel Cordes – who has been mourned by fans of the series since his fictional death in October – delivered this speech in front of his father’s mythical bar, “Le Mistral”, which resumed.

It is the end of 4,665 episodes, the first of which was broadcast on August 30, 2004. The outcome of this 90-minute bonus special, entitled “Seven weddings for a funeral”, could not therefore be happy: a group of dancing to the song “All the Happiness in the World”, lavish praise and just as many weddings.

The announcement of the end of the series last May by France Télévisions had caused a stir among its fans and in Marseille, where its filming generated a real economy. Nearly 600 people worked each year for the series and a total of 3,232 actors, to which must be added extras, participated in the filming.
