King Charles published a statement this Thursday, after the plane crash in Ahmedabad in India, which caused more than 200 people, including 53 British.

King Carlos III said he was “extremely surprised” on Thursday by the accident of an airplane that transported 242 people, including 53 British, just after taking off from Ahmedabad airport in India, in a message posted on social networks.

“Our particular prayers and our deepest sympathy accompany the families and friends of those who are affected by this terrible and tragic incident in so many countries, while waiting for news of their loved ones,” said the British sovereign.

“I would like to pay tribute to the heroic efforts of first aid and all who have made their help during these heartbreaking and traumatic moments.”
