R&B American singer Chris Brown, Rihanna’s ex -boyfriend, declared himself innocent this Friday, July 11 before a London court of two additional positions, linked to the supposed case of assault in a nightclub in 2023.
With a picture suit and sunglasses, the 36 -year -old star appeared for the second time in front of the Southwark criminal court, where about twenty fans were waiting for him.
He denied the two charges criticized by him: the possession of an offensive weapon, a bottle, in a public place, and having caused an “attack caused bodily harm” to the producer of Abraham music “Abe” Diaw.
He already declared innocent on June 20 that “he tried to intentionally cause serious injuries,” the strongest burden of the three.
Trial scheduled for October 2026
The events date back to February 19, 2023 in the night tape in London. Chris Brown is accused of having hit “Abe” Diaw in the bar with a bottle, then pursued and beaten. His trial should begin on October 26, 2026 and last between five and seven days.
An American, Omololu Akinlolu, 38, is also processed in this case. He also declared an innocent assault on Friday.
Arrested in mid -May in Manchester (north of England) and detained for almost a week, Chris Brown was released on May 21 in exchange for a deposit of 5 million pounds (5.9 million euros).
He was authorized to continue his international tour on June 8 in Amsterdam, and the British authorities, who have their passport, restore it when you have to go abroad for concerts.
The singer became known in the 2000s with titles such as Kiss, kiss AND Execute it!. But his career has been contaminated on several occasions of violence.
He was remarkably convicted of having defeated Rihanna, then his girlfriend, before the 2009 Grammy Awards, forcing the pop superstar to miss the annual gala of the music industry.
