After thirteen years of waiting, Avatar: The Channel finally hits theaters on December 14. James Cameron’s blockbuster, sequel to the biggest hit of all time, is revealed in a final trailer, made up of never-before-seen images and spectacular sequences.
Avatar: The Channel it begins about ten years after the first film. Jake Sully and Neytiri, now parents, see their daily lives change when the Resource Development Administration returns to Pandora. Forced to flee, they take refuge in the reefs, where they must live with the dangerous Metkayina clan.
Written and directed by James Cameron, Avatar: The Channel It is the direct sequel to the first film, but offers a self-contained and independent story. The original cast returns: Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver (in another role). They are joined by Kate Winslet, Michelle Yeoh and Vin Diesel.
James Cameron, who worked with a team of writers on this new component, promised a film whose action will take place mainly underwater. “It will be Bora Bora on steroids,” even its producer Jon Landau had warned in entertainment weekly. three more movies Avatar are planned for the next few years.
