There are songs that are born quickly. This is the case with the first version of Feel good By Charlotte Cardin. In the study with friends, the singer quickly feels that she is holding something.
“We were playing with a guitar, we put a Super Pop Beat, we wrote this very light song, a little sexy, a small naughty one. And at the same time, at the base, it was a song that was in English, so we decided to translate it,” explains the BFMTV microphone artist.
“This is when I told myself that there really is something that is even more, I think, fun, at least for me, play with both languages,” he continues.
A “snowball effect”
But together with the other disk productions, the title, much more eliminated, more dance, detonate. At the end of his album, the Quebeceeoise wondered about his presence in the list of songs.
“For a long time, I doubted why it was much brighter than the other songs on my album, more pop too, lighter. And I told myself, but you know what, I will take it out because I: I feel really good when I do it, there is something that is happening,” says Charlotte Cardin.
But this small extra thing, the public will take its time before identifying it. Charlotte gets her record and, to tell the truth, it doesn’t happen much. It is when your tour ends, that a television service, months later, will change everything for the singer.
“There was a kind of snowball effect after the ‘Star AC’, which was assumed on Tiktok for thousands and thousands of videos,” said the artist.
“It is a song for which we had made the promotion at the time of its launch, but that also began to play with many radio stations after that. And therefore, people, many people discovered me,” he adds.
In a few weeks, the title is aimed at the beautiful places of the broadcast radios, the loop clip on television, Single Platinum, 35 million transmissions. Charlotte was at the right time, in the right place.
“It takes time, but it has the right time. Music, like all art forms in general, need a very specific context so that people are more encouraged to discover or connect with a song,” concludes the artist.
