“I was expelled from this coffee because I was Jewish?” On Instagram, this Monday, July 28, humorist Marie Infiltrates said she was “persecuted” of a coffee in Marseille, according to her, of her Jewish origins.
In its publication, he says that he has decided on the terrace of a coffee Du Vieux-Port when he listens to a group to call it. “I smile from afar looking at the menu, but I understand that we do not say my name to greet me, but that I am designated to indicate my presence or to be invested,” she says.
According to the humorist, the group then approached him to sing, “very strong when touching the foot”, “Long lives the struggle of the Palestinian people” while a server took his order.
“A legitimate and libertarian slogan, but that is cried in a hostile and threatening way. And then I have no doubt that I shout at me. (…) I immediately feel that it is very serious,” he specifies.
“They chose me as their enemy”
Marie inflicts that he has tried to exchange with this group, “hands open to them, smiling”: “I say: ‘Yes, of course, live the struggle of the Palestinian people, but why shout it there, immediately, now?”
“I immediately see their reaction that there is no doubt. They are only there to fight. They are only attributed to hatred, and that they chose me as their enemy,” writes the humorist.
“I ask them several times if the demonstration just orchestrate is intended for me. (…) One in three admits that others do not even manage to assume what they are doing,” he adds.
Then, given this situation that, according to her, “quickly becomes bad” and “degenerate by stupidity and especially for the thirst for violence,” Marie finally infiltrates this coffee. “So I’m leaving, when I promised to leave,” she says.
“And shit, I understand that I fear. I fear that I am recognized as a Jew, and be considered as an enemy, and that my only presence causes hatred and violence. That I do not feel completely safe,” continues the humorist.
“Flemme once again, to be Jewish”
After this incident, Marie infiltrates, has joined her friends and feels “ashamed” to tell them the scene. “The laziness for explaining how serious it is, what just happened. Not for me. Not for my personal danger. But what he says about the world. The laziness that we can associate with this adventure with a victim speech,” he details.
“In summary, laziness, once again, to be Jewish. The laziness of justifying himself, laziness, you don’t know what it is, to say that it will work whenever, the laziness of explaining, justifying himself, defending himself,” says Marie Infiltrates.
Later at night, the humorist explains that he was “awakened” by his “anger” and, after having made the promise that “whatever happens in Gaza, Israel, China, Afghanistan, Mali or Tatouine, nobody will hunt me with a coffee in France.”
