What happens if a young sorcerer interrupted the traffic in London? The first images of the shooting of the Harry Potter of HBO series were revealed by the Daily mail This Monday, August 18. Near Borough High Street, a few steps from London Bridge, we see Nick Frost, 53, known for his papers in Hot fuzz AND Shaun of the deadInterpreting the giant Hagrid, along with Dominic McLaughlin, a 11 -year -old Scottish young man, selected to play Harry Potter
The sorcerer apprentice is dressed in a waterproof blue, green and yellow and its iconic glasses, while the giant has long and curly hair and a matching beard, with a chaqui color jacket, black pants and brown boots.
A technical detail intrigues certain observers, as the British newspaper pointed out: despite its size of 1m70, Nick Frost largely dominates his young partner. The actor carries, in certain scenes, a mask with two black points on the mouth. This technique aims to recreate Hagrid’s imposing stature, which is supposed to measure more than 3.50 meters in the world of JK Rowling, using visual coatings and effects. A method already used with Robbie Coltrane in original films.
The shooting, which also took place near a pub that represents the cauldron and in the London Metro in Terraplén, caused traffic jams in the British capital. The passers -by largely documented these scenes in Tiktok, some filming Nick Frost’s coating repeating in front of a local Sainsbury’s.
The HBO series, currently in production and announced by 2027, is a “faithful adaptation” of the novels of JK Rowling. The author, who multiplies transphobic statements in social networks, is also accredited as Executive producer of the series.
