Mangas, fantastic novels, thrillers… As part of its programming The favorite book of the French, France Télévisions announces this Wednesday the list of the 25 works most acclaimed by the public, which will make up the winners of the program.
Among this selection, broadcast by the journalist from 20 minutes Fabien Randanne, we find in particular manga One piece, Dragon Ball either The attack of the Titans or French novels like The Miserables of Victor Hugo or Change the flower water by Valeria Perrin.
It is also part of the classification of fantastic works as Harry Potter by JK Rowling or Lord of the Rings of Tolkien, but also foreign works such as Wuthering Heights by Emilie Bronte or pride and prejudice by Jane Austen.
Special night on December 15
Launched last April, this selection was carried out during two large phases of spontaneous online consultation. French men and women of all ages were invited to vote for their favorite book, without a pre-established list.
As France Télévisions specifies in a press release, this operation has “shown all the literature and has given the floor to all readers, all generations together.”
The ranking of these 25 books will be announced on December 15 on France 2, during a special broadcast presented by Camille Diao and Michel Field. At the end of the evening, marked by the presence of many guests (Juliette Binoche, Gérard Lanvin, Camille Lellouche, Ibrahim Maalouf, Vincent Delerm, Brigitte Giraud) the favorite book of the French will be revealed.
